What Exercises Can I do at Home if I am Pregnant?
“What exercises can I do at home?” is a common question among pregnant women who normally workout. Always consult your doctor first before working out, but the general consensus is that non-strenuous at home exercises is safe, and can maintain your fitness while pregnant.
Exercises that do not require your body to bear extra weight during a home workout are usually well tolerated during pregnancy. You can workout on a stationary bike at home while pregnant, but you may want to consider swimming as a form of exercise. Ask your physician to help you decided the best exercise program for you and your baby.
While regular exercise at home can keep you fit and healthy, it also aids in your ability to cope with the rigors of labor. After the baby is born it will be much easier both physically and mentally for you to get back in shape if you’re been working out at home during the course of your pregnancy. While moderate exercise at home during pregnancy is good for you, it’s not advisable to workout for weight-loss purposes during this time.
