The Beginnings of the Popular Chuck Norris Exercise Equipment: The Total Gym

The popular Chuck Norris exercise equipment known as the Total Gym has been around since the 70-80’s. The Total Gym targets all muscle groups, allowing over 200 exercises on 10 levels of incline resistance. The exercises are performed with a full range of motion, with the ability to do aerobics, strength training, muscular endurance, and flexibility training all while improving your body composition.

Early in the Total Gym’s history, most of the customers were physical therapists simply because they understood the benefits of functional training. However, martial arts legend Chuck Norris has been using the Total Gym for many years, and in recent history, has become the company spokesman. Since the Chuck Norris Total Gym infomercials have been airing, sales have skyrocketed.

Beyond the infomercials and retail stores, the Total Gym has been used by Olympic athletes, such as the USA Olympic Gold Medalist Men’s Volleyball Team and Track & Field Gold Medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee.

Today, thanks to Chuck Norris promoting a quality product that was once used only by physical therapists, the Total Gym is a household name and has sold and helped millions worldwide.
