Bowflex Ultimate XTLU Recall

420,000 bowflex home gyms were recalled in January 2004 because of defects in the lat tower attachment and the backboard bench. The models affected by the bowflex recall were the Bowflex Ultimate XTLU, Power Pro XL, XTL and XTLU. The Power Pro the Bowflex Ultimate machines made before September 2002 are covered by the recall. The seat pin could break or come loose, which causes the seat to suddenly move. On the Bowflex Power Pro with the lat tower, the incline bench could suddenly move because the incline support bracket could break. Both of these problems can cause the user of the Bowflex home gym to fall during exercise.

If you’re affected by this recall, you can order a free safety repair kit from Bowflex by calling (800) 820-8604.
